Someone pray for God to be with you and guide you through your time together.

Committed: We are committed to loving God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength and loving others like He loves us.

Confidential: We value and trust each other, so we share openly and honestly with each other and what is shared in the group stays in the group.

Changing: We are growing to be more like Jesus, obeying His commands and filled with His Spirit.

Christ-Centered: In Jesus, we find God’s presence to guide us, His grace to forgive us, and His power to change us.

AcCountable: We encourage each other, help each other and expect each other to love and live like Jesus.

Connected: We meet every week, pray for each other every day, and share our lives as we obey and follow Jesus together.

Capable: By His Holy Spirit, God gives us the love and power we need to obey and follow Jesus.

Commissioned: We are all commissioned by Jesus to make disciples, so we are all committed to starting new cgroups for others who are ready to follow Jesus.

Consistent: We consistently follow this guide because it is based on God’s word and it helps equip each member to lead cgroups and to make disciples.

Mark 10:42-45

42 Jesus called them together and said, “You know that those who are regarded as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. 43 Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, 44 and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. 45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Take turns reading this passage a few times, perhaps in different translations.

• How would I explain the passage? (Each person tries to retell the passage or Bible story in their own words.)
• What does the passage tell you about God?
• What does the passage say about people?
• What will I do this week to obey what I have learned? "By God's grace I will..." (Each person crafts a "By God's grace this week I will..." statement or two to tell how they will obey the passage this week.)
• With whom will you share what you learned this week? ( Consider who you will talk to about what you learned this week. Ex: Perhaps this week you'll encourage a coworker with this new knowledge or talk to your brother or sister about the passage.)

• Who are the unconnected friends that you are committed to praying for every day this week?
• Which unconnected friend are you going to connect with this week as you pray to influence them toward a relationship with God and His family? (See PALS in the Go Deeper resources below for further instruction on how to grow in relationships with unconnected friends.)

As His disciples, Jesus has commissioned all of us to be disciple makers. Take a few minutes to pray for each other, that we will be faithful disciples and disciple makers in the coming week by obediently putting into practice what God has taught us today.
