This week in our Cgroup, we will not be going through the guide as we usually do. Instead, we will be learning how to share our testimonies! This is one of the most important abilities that God gives to every Christ-Follower. By learning to share your testimony, you will be equipped to introduce your unconnected family and friends to the Gospel by testifying to what God has done in your life though Jesus and His Holy Spirit. As they hear what God has done in your life, they will see what He can do in their lives!

Someone pray for God to speak through His word as it is read and through the video teaching that will follow the reading. 

Titus 3:3-6

3 At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another.4 But when the kindness and love of God our Saviorappeared, 5 he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, 6 whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior,

Someone pray for God to bring to mind what we need to share in our testimonies as we spend a few minutes in silence.

The leader will share their testimony first and then each of the other group members will share their testimony. Do not worry about making it perfect, just share honestly from your heart. Aim for 3 minutes total: 1 minute about life before Jesus, 1 minute about how He saved you, 1 minute about life after He saved you. By keeping your testimony to a few minutes (5 minutes at the very most), you will give people a chance to ask questions if they want to know more about your story.

After each testimony answer the following questions:

1) What impacted you most from this testimony?

2) What questions do you think people will ask after hearing this testimony?

3) What could make this testimony even more impactful?

If there is time after everyone has shared their testimonies and received feedback, some may want to share their testimony a second time.

As a group our assignment for the week is to share our testimony with an unconnected friend during the coming week. Next week we will briefly discuss what it was like to share and what the responses were from the people we shared with.

Remember that you can simply tell your friend that you have an assignment to share your story and ask if you can "practice" with them!

Pray for each other that the Holy Spirit will use your testimonies to touch the lives of your unconnected friends this week.
