Through baptism, we recognize and celebrate the joining of a believer with the Triune God, the whole of Christ’s church, and our local congregation. The water and the work of the Holy Spirit in baptism convey God’s saving grace, the forgiveness of our sins, and new life in Jesus Christ. We believe Baptism signifies entrance into the household of faith, is a symbol of repentance and inner cleansing from sin, a representation of the new birth in Christ Jesus and a mark of Christian discipleship. Upon their baptism, a believer is committed to being a fully devoted follower of Christ and to making disciples.  As a follower of Christ, they understand they give up their right to say no to Jesus.

If someone was baptized as an infant or young child without a personal profession of faith, that person can affirm and publicly profess their faith through believer’s baptism.

Infant and Child Dedication

Infant and child dedication is an opportunity for parents to dedicate the life of their child to the Lord and themselves the biblical task of raising their child in a community of believers until the child can receive Jesus into his or her own heart and life and then be baptized with a public profession of faith.  It is also an opportunity for the entire church to pray for the parents and child, committing themselves to supporting the parents in their commitment to raise their child to be a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ.

To be baptized or to dedicate your infant or child, you must first attend our Baptism & Infant Dedication Class.  These classes are held on the second Sunday of each month at 2:00.  At this time, they are being held through zoom.  Please register for the class through this link:
